Delays can be inevitable for operational reasons in air travel. In these cases, depending on the delay time, various rights such as communication, food, drinks and accommodation must be provided for the passengers. Wouldn’t you want to do this with the ease of showing the barcode on your boarding pass only?
We made a PoC work with Swartea, a local startup. In the application where we have completed the tests in our Information Technologies building, you can get a fresh tea from the tea vending machine by reading the bar code on the boarding pass or your Miles & Smiles Digital Card, which you can access via the Turkish Airlines mobile application.
Also, this concept makes it possible to provide special services for passengers at many points from CIP lounges to passenger waiting areas.
